Background

The 11th Lyran Guards have withdrawn from Callison, leaving your homeworld once again in the hands of the Free Worlds League. The base you captured will be your base of operations for the immediate future.

However, this does not mean that the fighting for Callison is over. There are Lyran collaborators and agitators on the planet, operating in conjunction with Lyran-loyalist militia forces. Several cities are under the control of Steiner-aligned forces, and some regions of the planet are not safe for travel due to terrorist activities.

You are to dispatch a lance of BattleMechs, including if possible the FS9-S Firestarter you were directed to salvage, to escort a convoy consisting of a Mobile Headquarters carrying local adminstrative officials and militia officers and a series of Heavy Transports carrying supplies and materiel through an unsecured region. Pacification of local Steiner insurrectionists is desirable, but secondary to seeing the convoy safely through.

Potential enemy force strength is unknown, but probably consists mainly of uncoordinated irregular infantry with possibly some light armor support. Enemy combatants may blend in with civilian populations before engaging.

Game Rules:

Battle loss compensation: 80%

Salvage: 20%

Mission Terrain: Light Urban

All Marik units deployed must have a sustainable speed of at least 5/8, to be able to keep up with the Heavy Transports.

The Marik force enters from the east edge of the southeast map. Their objective is to move the Mobile Headquarters and all five Transports safely off the north edge of the northwest map.

The Steiner forcee starts hidden on the map, anywhere except the southeast map. Their objective is to capture or destroy the Mobile Headquarters and Transports.

The Marik force receives:

≥10
total Marik victory
8–9
Marik victory
6–7
pyrrhic Marik victory
≤5
Steiner victory
