From Burlington and parts south:

Get on I-89 N. Get off at Exit 17 (Milton, Champlain Islands). Turn left onto US 2 E at the top of the exit ramp. It will very shortly T into US 7 at a stoplight. Turn left onto US 7 N. Follow US 7 into Milton. You'll go through three more traffic lights in Milton village, then down a big hill, and at the bottom of the hill, on the left, there'll be a little park with a time-temperature-announcements sign. That's the place. If you get to the bridge by the dam, you've gone too far. Turn around, consult the below directions.

From St. Albans and parts north:

Get on I-89 S. Get off at Exit 18 (Georgia, Milton). At the top of the exit ramp, turn left onto US 7 S. Follow US 7 into Milton. After you cross the bridge by the dam, go through the flasher at the Main Street/US 7 intersection, and there'll be a park with a time-temperature-announcements sign there on the right. That's the place. If you go up a big hill and find yourself at a stoplight with a shopping plaza on the right and a Mobil on the left, you've gone too far. Turn around, consult the above directions.

From Cambridge, Hyde Park, and parts east:

From the Stowe side of the mountain, I think your best bet is 100 to I-89 N, then follow the Burlington directions.

From the Hyde Park side, the easy way is to get to I-89 or US 7 however you'd normally do that and then follow either Burlington or St. Albans directions as appropriate.

The better but more complicated way is to get on VT 15 W and follow it through Cambridge. Just west of Cambridge village, where 15 turns south towards Underhill, bear right onto VT 104 N, past the vineyard. After five or six miles, as you get into Fairfax, you'll pass Minor's Shell station on the left, and then the road will curve north — there's a restaurant on the right at the curve ("Erica's American Diner" last time I went by, but it's changed names several times, so I won't swear this is currently accurate), and a Union Bank on the left in a little triangle of roads. Bear left to pass behind the bank, and then immediately turn left onto VT 128 S (Browns River Road). After a mile or so, there'll be a red barn on the left; turn right there onto the Westford-Milton Road. Follow it up and over Westford Hill and down into Milton... it turns into Main Street in Milton, crosses the railroad tracks, and then Ts out at US 7 at a three-way flasher. Turn left onto US 7 S, and the park will be just ahead on the right. Look for the time/temperature/announcements sign.

From Underhill, use the above directions except get on 15 E and turn left onto 104 at the vineyard just before you get to Cambridge village.

From the Islands and parts west:

Get on US 2 E. After it crosses over I-89 and Ts into US 7 at the traffic light, turn left onto US 7 N and follow Burlington directions above.

From Essex:

The easy route is to take 2A to US 7 N, and then follow Burlington directions above from the intersection with US 2 at Exit 17.

The park is listed as River Street Park on Google Maps, if you would prefer automatic directions.

If you show up at the park and no one's around, come on up to my house and roust me out. (Or if you want to use my house to change or something, whatever.) My street is directly across from the little brick building on the south side of the park, and my place is the first house on the left as you go up the hill, next door to the Consolidated CO. White house, garage underneath, old rusty station wagon in the upper driveway. 12 Cherry Street. I usually put out some old shields at the bottom of Cherry Street and in front of the house. Look for the Northern Army star.

Phone is (802) 338-5359 if you get lost or whatever.
