History does not record anywhere at any time a religion that has had any rational basis.
That's why I'm a Discordian. I figure, if you're going to have an irrational religion, why not go whole hog? After all, hogs are people too, or, at least, people are hogs. At least, all the worthwhile ones are. After all, everyone's got someone's best interests in mind, and it's always a bad idea to trust anyone who claims to have yours in mind.
